WILKES-BARRE, Pa. ā€“ The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins announced today that they have signed forward Christian Hilbrich to an American Hockey League contract for the 2016-17 season.

Hilbrich, who is listed at six-foot-seven, 223 lbs., joins the Penguins organization after completing four seasons with Cornell University. Hilbrich captained the Big Red in his senior season and set a career high with eight assists during the 2015-16 campaign.

The Port Credit, Ont. native finished his collegiate career with three-consecutive 14-point seasons and 48 total points (27G-21A) in 111 games.

In his four years at Cornell, Hilbrich was enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
